The ACFSO has developed and maintains a relationship with our local legislators, schools, system partners and businesses to retain their support of our mission. Our Community Outreach Specialist is diligent in maintaining a collection of information of services available designed to inform, refer, educate and assist families with children in need of support.
Our Community Outreach Specialist attends health fairs, public forums, peer support groups, family education forums, and local fairs and school events in an effort to reach parents, caregivers and professionals in the community. We also provide peer support groups, a lending library, parent education, guest speakers, a community Warm Line, and other advocacy efforts for the local community in our FSO offices. Every effort is given to provide events and forums that inform and empower families in their parent / professional role.
The ACFSO is constantly looking to recruit volunteers and donations for the family and children we support that have emotional and behavioral challenges.
