ACFSO provides face-to-face support, education and advocacy to help parents develop strategies to meet their challenges. We assess the family needs and draft a plan to strengthen the family unit.

PerformCare Information
PerformCare New Jersey, a member of the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of CompaniesOpens a new window, is a national, full-service behavioral health administrative services organization. PerformCare New Jersey is the contracted system administrator (CSA) for the State of New Jersey’s Department of Children and Families, Children’s System of Care (CSOC). PerformCare New Jersey is the single point of access to a wide array of behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disability services, as well as substance use treatment for youth and families throughout New Jersey.

SPANNJ is committed to children and families with the greatest need due to disability or special health/mental health needs; poverty; discrimination based on race/ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, language, immigrant or homeless status; involvement in the child welfare or juvenile justice systems; geographic location; or other special circumstances. SPAN’s individual assistance, workshops, and resources are available in languages other than English.
Support Group Information
Parents and Caregivers supporting each other where they can freely share questions, concerns, problems and solutions about parenting in a safe and supportive atmosphere. As parents and Caregivers with similar challenges, we promote hope, resiliency and recovery.
ACFSO engages youth between the ages of 13 and 21 years old to participate in our Youth Partnership program. Members are encouraged to support each other so no one feels alone. Members work together to develop healthier self-esteem, social skills and work ethics. .

Our goal is to be a productive member of our community. We would like to change the way the community views youth with emotional, mental health and behavioral challenges. We feel we can do this through educating ourselves, our peers and the community about our challenges that we face everyday.

Youth Partnership meetings are held, both in person and virtually, on a regular basis throughout the month.
